Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Hurghada

Upon arrival to the Hurghada airport,

you will be met by our Representative and transferred to your hotel The rest of your day is free to enjoy the beach, shop, or wander the beautiful city of Hurghada.

 

Day 2 – Hurghada

Free day at your leisure to enjoy the beach, snorkel, or choose our optional scuba diving trip around the coral reefs of the Brother’s Islands. The islands’ unique locations in the open area of the Red Sea, with its continually changing currents, have made the area a true eruption of life and color. Explore two shipwrecks (the Numidia sunk in 1901 and the Aida sunk in 1957) offering fabulous coral formations and amazing marine life. Lunch and 1 soft drink are included. Diving certificate is required. ( B )

Day 3 – Hurghada

Free day to enjoy the beach of Hurghada, or you may choose our optional submarine tour. This submarine carries approximately 44 passengers with a crew of two pilots. You will descend almost 70 feet (22 meters) where you can observe different kinds of coral reefs, marine organisms, and brightly colored fish. This is a marvelous way to see the marine world without having to be a certified diver. ( B )

Day 4 - Hurghada /Cairo / Hurghada

Free day at leisure or choose our optional full day tour to Cairo

For the optional tour to Cairo you will receive a breakfast box to eat on your scenic drive to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo you will begin your visit with a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum. Immerse yourself in each historical period of this ancient land. Enjoy a guided tour of this famous museum where you will find artifacts of the Pharaonic era and the treasures of King Tutankhamen’s tomb.

Proceed to Old Cairo to explore some of the early religious monuments of the city. You will visit the Hanging Church, dating to the late fourth and early fifth century ACE. Make a stop at the Ben Ezra Synagogue, built sometime between the sixth and ninth centuries ACE. This synagogue contains the newly renovated Jewish Heritage Library, containing documents found in 1896 that describe the economic and social conditions of the ancient Jewish peoples.

After lunch at a local restaurant you will drive to the Giza Plateau, home of the Great Pyramids and Sphinx Temple Complex. The largest among the six pyramids stands the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Standing 480 feet tall this pyramid is unique in that it is based on the number 5, and its top points directly to the middle star in the belt of the constellation Orion. After visiting these fabulous monuments you will continue to the inscrutable and mysterious Sphinx Temple. After your city tour you will return to your beautiful resort in Hurghada. (B & L)

Day 5 - Hurghada

Free day at your leisure or participate in our optional tour of a desert safari to be immersed in the Bedouin culture. Have dinner under the stars just as the Bedouin have been for thousands of years. (B&L)

Day 6 - Hurghada/Luxor/Hurghada

Enjoy another day at leisure by the Red Sea or enjoy our optional tour to drive to Luxor. Enjoy a breakfast box as you cross into the desert to the ancient capital of Thebes. Go directly to the famous West Bank where the Valleys of the Kings and Queens have housed the tombs of the Pharaohs and Queens of Egypt for thousands of years. Continue your visit to Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple. Queen Hatshepsut was the Queen who dressed herself as a Pharaoh and ruled Egypt successfully for over 20 years. This day includes a visit to an alabaster factory where alabaster has been mined and sculpted into magnificent art for centuries by the local artisans. After lunch you will visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor, built by the two pharaohs, Amenhotep III and Ramses II. Ancient Thebes was a center of festivals, and the Temple of Luxor was the setting for the most important-the festival of Opet, designed to merge the ruler`s human and divine aspects. After your tour you will drive back to your beautiful resort in Hurghada.

Day 7 – Hurghada/Cairo

After breakfast, transfer to the Hurghada airport for your departure flight to Cairo and beyond. ( B)
